Chairman of the Board

Mehmet Günlü, born on October 13, 1973 in Diyarbakır, is married and a father of three. After completing his education in various districts and schools in Diyarbakır, he undertook a six-year internship and examinations for becoming a Certified Public Accountant from 1994 to 1999. In 1999, he obtained the license for Certified Public Accountant and transitioned into the finance sector, working as Finance and Accounting Manager at a private company serving oil exploration and drilling firms between 1999 and 2000.

Subsequently, from 2001 to 2010, he continued his profession as a Certified Public Accountant at his own office in Diyarbakır Yenişehir district. During this time, he founded Ertürk İnşaat Ltd. Şti., which laid the foundation for Ertürk Group, and started providing services to oil exploration and drilling firms.

These services included:

  • Personnel subcontracting
  • Catering services
  • Oil and gas pipeline installation
  • Vehicle rental
  • Construction and warehouse building
  • Procurement services
  • Personnel provision for seismic activities

and similar services, and these operations are still ongoing.

In the course of time, he successfully passed the exams organized by TÜRMOB and obtained the title of Certified Public Accountant and Independent Auditor.

Since 2010, he has continued to work as a Certified Public Accountant at his own office in Diyarbakır. Additionally, he obtained an Independent Auditor Certificate on February 4, 2014, after successfully passing the training and exams conducted by the Public Oversight Accounting and Auditing Standards Authority. Since 2001, due to the fact that Ertürk Group was referenced by oil and gas exploration license holders and companies providing drilling and support services, business relationships and activities have also occurred abroad.

Furthermore, in 2010, he established an EPS (Styrofoam) and Polyurethane factory on a 17,500 m2 open area with a 12,000 m2 closed area in Diyarbakır Organized Industrial Zone. This factory employs around 70 people and contributes significantly to employment alongside other activities.

The factory produces:

  • For Iraq
  • For Georgia
  • For Turkmenistan
  • For Romania

Contributing to the national economy through exports, particularly supplying exterior materials for major projects in Iraq. To expand Ertürk Group's current business scope and make a statement in the energy sector, in 2022, Ertürk Group took part in a tender organized by Türkiye Petrolleri A.O. (TPAO) and successfully acquired a 2D Seismic Data Collection project (Seismic Mobile Drilling, Data Collection, Logistics services, etc.) from the Serbia-based Naftagas (Nis) company.

The seismic field projects completed include:

  • Siirt/Bukat-2D (one of the most challenging seismic areas in Turkey historically),

Chairman Mehmet Günlü has integrated the equipment and materials listed above, necessary for 2D and 3D seismic data collection, data processing, and reporting into Ertürk Group's inventory with the returns from other commercial activities. With the slogan of being a local and national company in the energy sector, Ertürk Group aims to prevent foreign-owned companies from taking our national resources abroad and to produce more work with our own resources. Additionally, Ertürk Group aims to provide substantial employment to local people in various regions of Turkey alongside the personnel from the operating areas.

Chairman Mehmet Günlü harmonizes his experiences in different sectors (Finance, Accounting, Auditing, Logistics, Seismic, etc.) and shares them with the employees of Ertürk Group, advancing steadily in his professional life, and serves as a role model for all employees through his efforts with determination and belief.
